Nencki Institute Seminar

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the next Nencki Institute Seminar. On Thursday, November 29th, Prof. Zafra Lerman will give a lecture entitled „Science and its added value – helping diplomacy and defending human rights”. Prof. Zafra Lerman is a famous chemist, distinguished Professor for Science and Public Policy (emeritus), Columbia College Chicago, former Chair of the Scientific Freedom and Human Rights Committee of the American Chemical Society, and President of the “Malta Conferences Foundation”, an organization formed under the auspices of UNESCO for using science to support peace, especially in the Middle East. Professor Lerman has been awarded the Sakharov Prize for her actions defending human rights at a global scale. The seminar will form a follow-up to the conference on „Science Diplomacy” organized in the Nencki Institute on the 28 November. The seminar is supposed to be composed of an introduction by Professor Lerman, followed by an interactive discussion with the audience on various possible added values of science. Don’t miss this great event, which will take place at 3:00 PM in the CN conference hall and will be followed by a „get together” networking session in the exhibition hall on the ground floor.

Pozdrawiam,
